Come voice your concern regarding the recent purchase by Chinese beverage company, Nongfu Spring, of a critical site impacting Nashua’s Pennichuck water system. (Nongfu Spring, the largest Chinese bottled water company, owned by the richest man in China, Zhong Shanshan, purchased the site in Nashua on January 31, 2025, for $67 million, over four times the appraised value at $15 million, for a beverage plant that will draw significant water from Nashua’s Pennichuck water system. The plant site borders Pennichuck Creek upstream of Pennichuck Water Works critical infrastructure, is in the flight path of Nashua Airport, and is also near the Nashua FAA Control Center and defense contractors such as BAE.)
