WEARE, N.H. \u2014 Congressional candidate Lily Tang Williams today condemned Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander for rushing a taxpayer-funded franked mailer into New Hampshire mailboxes just hours before the congressional franking blackout took effect, calling it a desperate attempt to salvage her political image after a first term defined by a lack of meaningful accomplishments. To note, the congressional franking blackout exists to prevent incumbents from using taxpayer-funded communications as free campaign advertising in the weeks leading up to an election, helping ensure a fair contest against challengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
